New Jersey State School Nurses Association to hold first in-person conference since 2019
TRENTON, NJ —

Reimagining School Nursing

The New Jersey State School Nurses Association (NJSSNA) will be hosting its first in-person conference since 2019 this Saturday, March 25, at the Princeton Marriott. Kate King, president-elect of the National Association of School Nurses, will be one of two keynote speakers. Eric LeGrand, a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, sports analyst, philanthropist and author, will also deliver a keynote address.

A wide variety of learning opportunities will be presented. School nurses will have ample opportunity to visit NJSSNA’s generous conference sponsors and exhibitors in the exhibit hall. They’ll find plenty of useful giveaways to bring back to their schools.

Breakfast and lunch will be included, along with nursing contact hours.

Location: Princeton Marriott at Forrestal, 100 College Road East, Princeton.

Date/Time: Saturday, March 25; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Conference will include a diaper drive

NJSSNA members are devoted to promoting the health of students, families and the community. Diapers are essential to meeting a child’s basic needs and cost about $1,000 per year, per child. Over 5.2 million babies and toddlers live in poor or low-income families, limiting their access to diapers and wipes. A lack of diapers can lead to a number of consequences including skin breakdown, illness and infections, and loss of school and work time.

NJSSA members and others can make monetary donations to the Central Jersey Diaper Bank and/or may bring diapers and wipes to the conference for collection.

To make an online donation: Funds accepted through a secure link found at njssna.org.

To text a donation: Text Nurses4Diapers to 44321.

To donate diapers and wipes: Bring them with you to the NJSSNA Spring Conference on Saturday, March 25.
