New Jersey Working Families Party Endorses Dan Benson for Mercer County Executive

The New Jersey Working Families Party is pleased to endorse Dan Benson for Mercer County Executive.
Over his 12 years in the state Assembly, Benson has shown he is a champion for everyday New Jerseyans. His experience and record of advocating for the needs of working families make him the candidate to back in the June Democratic primary election.

“Dan Benson understands that county government should work for the people, not for the benefit of elected officials or well-connected special interests,” said Antoinette Miles, Political Director for the New Jersey Working Families party. “We are proud to support him and look forward to seeing him lead the way on tackling Mercer County’s most pressing issues and making it a place where all County residents, no matter their zip code, can thrive.”

“Dan is consistently on the right side of worker’s issues,” said Megan Chambers, Co-Manager of the Laundry, Distribution & Food Service Joint Board, Workers United/SEIU and a Working Families board member. “Under his leadership, Mercer County will do a better job of protecting labor standards and making it a place where the local employers provide jobs with dignity.”

With this endorsement, the NJ Working Families Party seeks to bring new leadership that will move Mercer County forward, and joins a list of endorsements from labor groups that include the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) New Jersey State Council.
