New Jersey Young Democrats Black Caucus and the Union County Young Democrats’ Brunch and Budget Financial Wellness Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 21st, 2018

On Saturday, May 19th, the New Jersey Young Democrats Black Caucus and the Union County Young Democrats had their Inaugural Brunch and Budget Financial Wellness Event. Sponsored by fellow Young Democrats, Union County Freeholder Chairman Sergio Granados and former U.S. House Candidate for the 7th Congressional District Scott Salmon, the event brought Young Democrats from the across New Jersey to Central Park, a popular locale in Roselle, to discuss strategies for financial growth via home ownership, small business development, stock and bond investment, and effective personal finance management.

The interactive panel discussion included keynote speakers Irving D. Cham, Real Estate Investor and Founder of The Cham Group, and Rose Mosley, Real Estate Developer, Investor, Educator and Founder of Rose Capital. The speakers touched on the first-time home buying process, strategies for saving in the midst of creating a small business, more effective ways to pay off student loans and build good credit, and how to start investing via simple, yet effective smartphone applications.

Saddled by student loan debt, lower paying jobs, and a high cost of living, many Millenials have been struggling to bring their financial goals to fruition. This event served to get Millenials started on the right path financially and/or to strengthen their efforts. With such a positive response from attendees, the New Jersey Young Democrats Black Caucus looks forward to partnering again with the Union County Young Democrats for future Brunch and Budget Financial Wellness Events.
