New Jersey Young Democrats Endorsement Applications Are Now Open for 2020 Election

New Jersey Young Democrats elected Fatima Heyward of Camden County as State President of the organization. Heyward is the first African-African woman to ever be elected NJYD President, and succeeds outgoing President Marshall Spevak.

NJYD Advocates For Young Diverse Leadership Throughout The State 

Trenton, NJ – New Jersey Young Democrats (NJYD) today announced that endorsement applications are now open for the 2020 election. NJYD is encouraging all NJ Democratic candidates through the age of 40 to apply for an endorsement.

“Now, more than ever, we need to advocate for young, diverse leadership across our state. In this climate, we cannot afford to move backward. We need strong, new voices that will speak out about issues that affect all of our communities,” said NJYD President Fatima Heyward.

The deadline to submit endorsement applications is Monday, September 14, 2020. All interested candidates can complete the form here: http://bit.ly/NJYD2020EF.

“It is crucial we register young voters, learn our polling and mail-in ballot dropbox locations, and vote early this election cycle. Make sure your voter registration is up-to-date and please tell your friends and family to do the same. Every vote matters. Check the Voter Information Portal on the New Jersey Division of Elections website for more information,” said NJYD Political Director Stephanie Casella.
