State Senate candidate Rupande Mehta received the endorsement of New Jersey’s Senior Senator Bob Menendez. Rupande Mehta is the Democratic candidate running for State Senate seat in Legislative District 25.

“I am proud to support Rupande Mehta as she takes on the fight with Bucco. This November, we have an opportunity to increase diversity in the statehouse and bring new leadership in the 25th district. Elections have consequences and who we elect to office matters. I know Rupande will fight for all New Jerseyans,” said U.S. Senator Bob Menendez.

When elected, Rupande plans to focus her efforts on combating the rising tax burden on New Jersey families, protecting funding for public education and addressing New Jersey’s environmental issues. Rupande Mehta is a proud 2019 Emerge graduate, a founding board member of Inspiring South Asian American Women (ISAAW), and the former Morris County Director of the South Asian American Caucus (SAAC). Mehta also founded the SAR Foundation, which is dedicated to train local and state organizations on issues of domestic violence. Rupande is running for State Senate to stand up for New Jersey families from all walks of life.
