New Supervising Veterinarian Takes on Role with Hamilton Animal Shelter

Hamilton’s Animal Shelter has a new supervising veterinarian.

Dr. Marian Boden, who earned her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital for several years, has agreed to become the Hamilton Animal Shelter’s new supervising veterinarian.

As part of her role with Hamilton’s Animal Shelter, Dr. Boden’s responsibilities will include providing guidance on shelter policies and procedures, animal care and treatment and conducting monthly site inspections of the shelter.

“I look forward to working together with the staff at Hamilton Animal shelter in continuing to care for the lost and stray animals in the Hamilton area,” says Dr. Boden.

Dr. Boden has worked in the South Jersey region for over 22 years. In addition to practicing at Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital, she has worked at area low cost spay and neuter clinics, previously worked part time with the Burlington County Animal Shelter, and even did veterinary work in foreign nations as part of the organization WorldVets, which provides international veterinary and disaster relief programs to help animals, educate people and have a positive impact on communities.  She also has previously practiced at North East Animal Hospital and other veterinary hospitals in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Boden’s own pets include dogs, cats and fish.  As a veterinarian, she enjoys establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.
