Members of the Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee Paint the Gibbons Green Line in Advance of its 85th Anniversary
WHAT: To celebrate the 85th Annual Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade, members of St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, Inc., organizers of first and finest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New Jersey, will paint the ceremonial Green Line, in advance of the 85th Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

WHERE: Outside of the Prudential Center (corners of Mulberry & Lafayette Streets), Newark
WHY: 2020 marks the 85th anniversary of the Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the first and finest Irish heritage celebration of its kind. A longstanding tradition amongst the epicenter of Irish-American life, this year’s parade will feature Michael D. Byrne, a lifelong Montclair resident who previously served as General Chairman of the parade for nine years as Grand Marshal, and Eileen McGinley Hannaford, a resident of Basking Ridge, as Deputy Grand Marshal. The parade will be held on Friday, March 13, with ceremonies beginning at 12:00PM followed by the official parade kick-off promptly at 1:00PM. Over the years, the Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has been proud to consistently call Newark home for over eight decades, keeping the tradition alive.
