NJ 34th District Legislators hold an Education Forum in Clifton

Clifton, NJ – The Clifton School District has been short $50 million, with layoffs and program cuts last year, the Clifton Board of Education has invited their NJ State representatives from the 34th Legislative District to a forum on school funding.
A public forum on school funding will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 7PM in the John F. Kennedy Auditorium located at Clifton High School, 333 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey.
The panel for this forum will be the NJ State representatives from the 34th Legislative District, Senator Nia Gill, Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver and Assemblyman Thomas Giblin and moderated by Dr. Matthew Hale of Seton Hall University.
The discussion will focus on education concerns, from state testing to the impact of out of district tuition costs and the underfunding of public school districts by the State of New Jersey and its impact on the Clifton School District as well as other public school districts in New Jersey.
