NJ Democrats Added 84,000 New Voters To Party In Past Year

TRENTON, N.J. -- New Jersey Democrats have added close to 84,000 voters to its party over the past year, demonstrating the growing enthusiasm in the Garden State to bring a Blue Wave to the polls on November 6 and elect progressive leaders up and down the ballot.

“Engaging Democratic and progressive voters in New Jersey has been a top priority for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee,” said NJDSC Executive Director Liz Gilbert. “By working closely with grassroots activists and campaigns around the state, we are building a stronger and more unified party to re-elect Senator Bob Menendez and bring much needed change to the House of Representatives.”

Congressional Districts 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 added the most Democratic voters. Districts 7 and 11 are historically red seats where Tom Malinowski and Mikie Sherrill are running strong, well-funded campaigns to bring the dynamic progressive leadership New Jersey deserves to Washington. District 3, where Andy Kim is running a powerful campaign to unseat Republican incumbent Tom MacArthur, added 4,726 Democratic voters.

There are now 2,199,322 registered Democratic voters in New Jersey, nearly double the number of registered Republicans.
