NJ GOP State Committeeman Joshua Sotomayor Einstein Endorses John Cupo for Council in Bayonne’s 1st Ward

Bayonne – New Jersey Republican State Committeeman from Hudson County, Joshua Sotomayor Einstein, who has been an outspoken advocate for Republican outreach and engagement, has endorsed John Cupo for Bayonne City Council in the 1st Ward special election coming up in November. Cupo was appointed to the Bayonne Housing Authority by Mayor Jimmy Davis, serves as a Commissioner, and is a community advocate in Bayonne.

“As a business owner, Cupo knows what fuels the economic engine of a town; as a real estate agent and home owner, he understands what’s important to the home owner, renter, and taxpayer; and as a Bayonne Housing Authority Commissioner he knows both the importance of volunteering to build a better community and how to work effectively as a leader on a government board,” Einstein stated. He continued, “Cupo is committed to the bread and butter issues facing all of the people in the 1st Ward. I call on Republicans in the ward, as well as independents, and independently minded Democrats to continue Bayonne’s proud reputation of defying Hudson County’s sad track record of supporting pre-selected, machine enabled, and legacy politicians. Cupo is the independent, honest, and people focused leader the ward deserves.”

Cupo is the self-funded candidate running independently of any politician machine. Though only 100 signatures by 1st ward voters were required to get on the ballot, he collected and submitted 2,000. Cupo has been seen all across the 1st ward working hard on the campaign, knocking on doors, holding meet and greets, and discussing real issues with 1st ward voters. Cupo has dedicated himself to being a full-time councilman when elected. More police, repairing potholes, fixing flooding issues, improving parking, and opposing abatement for developers are several of his priorities when elected to office.
