NJ Realtors: Scholarships Awarded to Exceptional Students

Trenton, N.J. (July 31, 2020)— This summer New Jersey Realtors Educational Foundation awarded $53,700 in scholarships to 39 students pursuing a college education.

Since 1969, the NJ Realtors Educational Foundation has awarded scholarships to hundreds of deserving students that are enrolled or will be enrolled in an undergraduate program. The selection process for these students included their academic achievements, financial need, interest in real estate endeavors, and contributions to family, school, and communities.

“Each year I am blown away by the caliber of the students,” said 2020 NJ Realtors Educational Foundation President Rickey D. Cooper. “They are all bright, thoughtful students, with unique and exciting goals for their futures—I wish them nothing but the best in their undergraduate programs.”

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the foundation to shift the entirety of the application process to an online platform. In the past, the foundation selected students to come to NJ Realtors headquarters for an in-person interview with the foundation trustees. In lieu of in-person interviews, students were asked to prepare a video answering questions prepared by the trustees.
