NJ SPOTLIGHT NEWS PROVIDES LIVE NJ DECIDES 2020: ELECTION NIGHT COVERAGE ON NOVEMBER 3 BEGINNING AT 9PM ON NJTV
October 29, 2020 – NEWARK, NJ – NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network, announced that its news division, NJ Spotlight News, will provide live election night coverage on November 3 starting at 9 p.m. on NJTV (check local listings) and online platforms. Broadcasting live from the studio at the Montclair State University School of Communication and Media, NJ Spotlight News Anchors Briana Vannozzi and Michael Hill will lead the network’s NJ Decides 2020: Election Night coverage, joined by Chief Political Correspondent Michael Aron, Editor-at-Large Colleen O’Dea, a team of field reporters and political analysts. Together they will provide the latest results and insight on the races and ballot questions in play for New Jersey as well as updates on the Presidential contest. Additional coverage will be provided at njspotlightnews.org throughout the day, including results from the Associated Press when polls close. Election night coverage will also be streaming online on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
“This election night is unprecedented. It is one of the most important elections of our time,” said NJ Spotlight News Sr. Managing Editor Jamie Kraft. “There are so many unknowns with this year’s early voting and on-site tallies in the wake of COVID-19; we have no idea what to expect regarding the timing of the results. It will surely keep our reporting nimble throughout the night.”
Election night coverage follows a full season of the network’s comprehensive political news reporting and activities, which has been chronicled on the NJ Spotlight News Politics Hub of the news website. Earlier this month, NJTV and Stockton University hosted a 2nd Congressional District debate with candidates Amy Kennedy and Jeff Van Drew.
NJTV’s keystone newscast, NJ Spotlight News with Briana Vannozzi, provides daily reporting on the political scene and other issues affecting the Garden State weeknights at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on NJTV (check local listings).
