Members of the New Jersey United for Marijuana Reform (NJUMR) steering committee will testify before the Assembly Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations Committee on Monday, March 1, at an informational hearing on marijuana legalization.

In addition, advocates from throughout New Jersey, as well as from other states, will testify on the social justice and racial justice issues that make legalization so urgent for New Jersey. Despite similar usage rates, Black New Jerseyans are arrested for marijuana possession at a rate approximately three times higher than white New Jerseyans.
