NJ VETERAN FOR BIDEN HARASSED; NJ DEMS VETERANS REACT

This weekend, a Spring Lake resident reported that his Veterans for Biden sign, displayed on his personal vehicle, prompted a passerby to leave a bullet-riddled, human-shaped practice target with the words “I am a Vet for Trump” on his car, as reported by the Asbury Park Press on Saturday.

The Monmouth County Democrats Veterans Caucus and the NJ DSC Veterans Caucus call this act “a direct attempt at intimidation.” Chairman Reggie Regrut of the NJ DSC Veterans Caucus says, “any veteran who has served this country honorably has earned the right to express their support for any candidate free from this type of implied threat and I would call upon all veterans, regardless of their political affiliation, to denounce this behavior against one of our own.”

Mr. Regrut, himself a veteran, calls this act “extremely disappointing” and “unfortunately a sign of our current political climate, and we hope the appropriate law enforcement agency will seriously investigate this vandalism and provide a sense of security for the resident”
