NJ Working Families Alliance Statement on the Senate Passage of Earned Sick and Safe Days Act

Trenton– In response to the passage of the NJ Earned Sick and Safe Days Act (A1827/S2171) in the Senate house, New Jersey Working Families Executive Director, Analilia Mejia, issued the following statement:

“New Jersey working families can breathe a sigh of relief, now that we’re on a path to secure a safe and healthy workplace for workers, employers and customers. After years of advocacy by workers, activists and legislative champions; Senator Loretta Weinberg and Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt alike, our new administration will be able to finish an endeavor over a decade long, and enact a fair policy that works for New Jersey workers and their families. This initiative is the right medicine for New Jersey and sets an example of what’s possible when we work together.”
