NJ Working Families Party hails NJ Attorney General Office actions to hold Holtec accountable for tax credit scheme

The New Jersey Statehouse and Capitol Building In Trenton

New Jersey Working Families Party Interim State Director Antoinette Miles issued the following statement in response to the announcement of a non-prosecution agreement Attorney General Matt Platkin announced with Holtec International:

Today’s agreement is a massive blow to the corrupt South Jersey Democratic machine led by George Norcross, which has over the years extracted more than a billion dollars from state taxpayers in phony tax credit schemes while leaving Camden residents mired in poverty.

This isn’t the first time Holtec has tried to grift New Jersey by gaming a state tax credit program. The agreement holds Norcross and his corporate cronies accountable and makes clear that no one is above the law.

We applaud Attorney General Platkin for taking on entrenched political interests and look forward to his continued work holding the corrupt South Jersey political class accountable for the wrongdoings perpetuated on Camden residents and state taxpayers.
