NJASCU Annual Higher Education Symposium Features Leaders in Higher Ed, Business, and Government

 

Higher education, legislative, and business leaders are convening on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Trenton War Memorial, for an important and thought-provoking conversation about the value of a bachelor’s degree – to an individual’s well-being and to the collective well-being of the state of New Jersey.

 

The New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities (NJASCU) for its Annual Symposium on Higher Education will present a program that includes former Governor James Florio and several members of the New Jersey Legislature, other policymakers, and business leaders, including: NJ Senator Thomas H. Kean, Jr.; Assemblywoman Mila Jasey; Assemblyman Louis Greenwald; Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker; Assistant Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development Jeffrey Stoller; and New Jersey Business and Industry Association President Michele Siekerka. Presidents and senior administrators from our institutions also will participate, including The College of New Jersey President R. Barbara Gitenstein; Montclair State University President Susan Cole; Stockton University President Harvey Kesselman; Thomas Edison State University President George Pruitt; Ramapo College President Peter Mercer; Kean University Provost Jeffrey Toney; New Jersey City University Business School Dean Bernard McSherry; and Rowan Senior Vice President Donald Moore;.

 

NJASCU CEO Michael Klein will highlight NJASCU’s legislative agenda that focuses on the revision of the State College Contracts Law and the facilitation of Public-Private Partnerships for infrastructure projects.
