NJBIA Cybersecurity Summit Friday, April 21

The New Jersey Business & Industry Association is bringing together experts to confront one the biggest issues of the 21^st century—cybersecurity. NJBIA’s Cybersecurity Summit will be held Friday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the APA Hotel in Woodbridge.

“Dealing with cyber-attacks is already a major issue for businesses in the 21^st century, and it will only get more difficult as technology advances,” said NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka.

The summit will offer practical solutions to cybersecurity problems for small and mid-sized businesses, and examine the legal issues surrounding them.

The event features two speakers—Dr. Chris Rodriguez, director of the NJ Office of Homeland Security, and Rashaad Bajwa, president and CEO of Domain Computers—followed by two panel discussions:

• Preparing for an Attack, moderated by Scott Schober, president & CEO of Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. with panelists Doug Borden, partner at Borden Perlman Salisbury & Kelly; Matt Cherian, director of BitSight Technologies; Chris Rohlf, staff security engineer of Square; and Michelle A. Schaap, of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi.

• Responding to an Attack, moderated by Warren Cooper, senior communications specialist at Evergreen Partners, Inc. with panelists Eric Levine of Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C.; Angelo Mendola, chief operating officer of Priority Payment Systems Local; and John Verry, managing partner of Pivot Point Security.
