NJBIA Opposes Family Leave Expansion that Will Burden Small Businesses

 

NJBIA testified on Thursday against a bill that has returned in the new legislative session to require most of New Jersey’s smallest businesses to comply with the job reinstatement provisions of the New Jersey Family Leave Act. Under the bill, a business with as few as five employees would be required to reinstate an employee to the exact same job after a 12-week leave.
