NJDSC Announces New ‘Vote Chasers’ Volunteer Program

Participants Will Call Democrats in Battleground Areas to Remind Them to  Return Vote by Mail Ballots

TRENTON, NJ — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is announcing a new “Vote Chasers” volunteer program designed to mobilize supporters to call or text fellow Democrats in battleground districts and remind them to return their Vote by Mail ballots. NJDSC will hold a “Vote Chasers” training tonight at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom, where supporters can learn how to participate in the program and take an active role in helping elect Democrats in New Jersey’s most critical races.

Anyone interested in joining the “Vote Chasers” volunteer program can sign up on the NJDSC Volunteer Hub by selecting “NJDSC Phone Banking” from the drop down menu.

“This is the most important election of our lifetime and it is imperative that we get out the vote for Democrats up and down the ballot,” said NJDSC Executive Director Saily Avelenda. “Calling swing voters in other states is important, but turning out the Democratic vote here in New Jersey is too. Phone banking can often be intimidating for first time phone bankers and calling friendly voters here at home opens up the process. The Vote Chasers program is an opportunity for all Democrats to make a difference in this election and help get out the vote.”
