NJEA Hipp Foundation awards more than $95,000 in new grants

Blistan

NJEA believes that educators’ ingenuity should not be stifled by lack of funds. That’s why the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education has awarded another 18 grants totaling $95,409 to support creative projects by public school educators.

Established in 1993, the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education is dedicated to supporting projects that will enhance and improve the learning environment in our schools. Since its creation, the Foundation has awarded over $2.3 million in support of 429 innovative educational projects that represent a bold, fresh approach by public school employees.

“On behalf of our NJEA officers, I congratulate this year’s grant winners,” said NJEA President Marie Blistan. “They willingly take on extra work and responsibility to meet the needs of their students. Their projects demonstrate the talent and creativity of our members and Sean, Steve, and I are proud to represent them.”

Contact information for the Project Coordinator is provided at the end of each project description, if you would like specific information about a grant in your area.
