NJGOP STATEWIDE GOP LEADERSHIP SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS REPUBLICAN RESURGENCE IN NEW JERSEY

Chairman Hugin: “The eyes of America are on New Jersey.”
ATLANTIC CITY – Fresh off a dynamic showing in the 2024 presidential election with the best results for Republicans in 20 years, GOP figures from across the nation are beating a path to New Jersey.

Republican State Committee Chairman, Bob Hugin, is thrilled to open this weekend’s statewide leadership summit, which will feature Republican former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, President Donald Trump’s pollster Jim McLaughlin and appearances by nearly all GOP candidates for Governor.

“New Jersey is America's newest swing state, and we intend to capitalize on our momentum this November by electing a Republican Governor, flipping State Assembly seats, and delivering GOP wins up and down the ballot,” Chairman Hugin said.

The NJGOP has led the charge on a nationally recognized voter registration operation, cutting the Democrats' advantage by 250,000 votes, the closest margin since 2016.

Last year, President Trump won 12 out 21 counties in New Jersey, resulting in all three Republican congressmen being decisively re-elected and the Trump campaign triumphing in the Ninth Congressional District.

In 2024, the state Republican Party channeled the enthusiasm of Republican voters and volunteers by funding and opening three NJGOP Trump 2024 election headquarters across the state. It followed President Trump’s lead in embracing early voting, spearheaded an Election Integrity operation with National GOP organizations and re-energized voter education programs.

Now, as a pivotal Governor’s race looms in November, the full state Assembly is on the ballot this fall, and congressional districts including CD-9 are set up to be competitive in 2026, the state GOP resurgence is in full swing.

This year’s leadership summit at Caesars Atlantic City Friday and Saturday will include networking, social events and training sessions for candidates and volunteers.

The Summit will highlight the continuation of multi-year outreach programs to the South Asian, Hispanic and Black communities. The state party will quarterback coordinated communications strategies enhancing collaboration with statewide candidates and GOP leadership in the Assembly and Senate.

The majority of the 2025 Republican candidates for Governor – state Sen. Jon Bramnick, 2021 GOP nominee for Governor Jack Ciattarelli, former state Sen. Ed Durr, and former Englewood Cliffs Mayor Mario Kranjac will be featured in half-hour, one-on-one interviews by local radio personalities.

“With Democrat disarray in Washington and Trenton, voter registration efforts cutting Democrats’ advantage every month, and a strong leader back in the White House, the state GOP is ready to flip New Jersey red,” Chairman Hugin said.
