NJSIAA Executive Committee elects 2022-’23 officers

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (Sept. 7th, 2022) – For the upcoming, 2022-’23 school year, the NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association) Executive Committee has elected its new slate of officers. They are Joe Bollendorf, president; Jason Corley, 1st vice president; and Russell Petrocelli, 2nd vice president.

 

Bollendorf retired in June as superintendent of Washington Township Public Schools.  Corley is the athletic director at Long Branch High School, while Petrocelli is principal at DePaul Catholic High School.

 

The Executive Committee’s current president, Clifton High School Athletic Director Tom Mullahey, will serve as immediate past-president.

 

“What NJSIAA is getting from Joe, Jason, and Russell is a broad, varied set of skills,” says NJSIAA Executive Director Colleen Maguire. “As individuals and collectively, they’re extremely accomplished related both to education and athletics. Our association will benefit greatly from their contributions.”

 

In addition to the new officers, listed below are the nine new representatives joining the Executive Committee for the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Non-Public representatives

  • Danielle Dayton, athletic director, Moorestown Friends School (South B)
  • Brendan McGovern, athletic director, Bergen Catholic High School (North A)

 

Public representative (Sussex County)

  • Dr. Michael Rossi, superintendent, Lenape Valley Regional School District

 

Ex-officio representative

  • Thad Lepcio, athletic director, Peddie School (representing Independent Schools)
  • Dave Ryden, athletic director, Marlboro High School (representing the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey)

 

At-large representatives

  • Michael L. Baldwin, Sr., athletic director, East Orange Campus High School
  • Dr. Carol L. Birnbohm, superintendent, Lenape Regional High School District

 

New Jersey School Board Association at-large representatives

  • Barry Fitzgerald, Lenape Regional Board of Education
  • Tammy Wagner, Stafford Township Board of Education

Established in 1918, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) is a voluntary, non-profit organization of approximately 435 accredited public and non-public high schools. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), the NJSIAA conducts tournaments and crowns champions in 33 sports.
