Norcross to Hold Women in the Workforce Summit

Norcross to Hold Women in the Workforce Summit

WASHINGTON, DC – This Thursday, September 28, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) – a member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee and an electrician by trade – will host a summit on Women in the Workforce in Haddonfield, NJ.

The summit will focus on policies that support and empower women in the workforce. The first panel discussion of the evening looks at how we can improve economic security by raising the wage and equal pay. The second panel discussion will focus on paid leave and affordable child care.

“As a son, husband, father and grandfather, I have seen how the women in my life have been impacted by workplace discrimination in some way. I know that the best way to support women is to listen to women,” said Congressman Norcross. “From pay inequity to paid leave and the unaffordable cost of child care, women and families are facing challenges that can be eased through good policy. That is why I am looking forward to hearing from people from around the state on how we can empower and support women in the workforce.”
