Gabrielle Liguori, James Selle & Scott Stephens named Directors of key practice areas

(TRENTON, NJ) – NorthStar Strategies, LLC (NorthStar) has announced three personnel moves that are designed to expand the diverse scope of consulting services offered to clients in New Jersey and throughout the region. Directors Gabrielle Liguori, James Selle and Scott Stephens will each lead key practice areas effective immediately.

NorthStar CEO Joe Fiordaliso praised the three new Directors, saying, “Gabrielle, James and Scott are hard working, accomplished professionals whose leadership will expand the breadth and depth of services that NorthStar is able to offer clients.”

“These moves are consistent with the mission and vision Jody and I developed when we established NorthStar nearly three years ago,” said Fiordaliso

NorthStar COO Jody Herkloz stated, “Each of our new Directors brings a rich background and experience to the firm and will help our clients navigate any challenge.”

Gabrielle Liguori named Director of Association Management: Gabrielle is a founding member of the NorthStar team, supporting the firm’s mission to provide the highest quality strategic government affairs counsel and diversified consulting services in New Jersey and throughout the region. A dedicated professional who has demonstrated a wide range of knowledge, ingenuity and resourcefulness, Gabrielle works each day to help NorthStar’s clients navigate any challenge. Presently, Gabrielle oversees day-to-day management of a prominent industry trade association and is responsible for both external and back office functions. In her new position, Gabrielle will lead NorthStar’s Association Management practice area and oversee its future growth, as well as work with clients day-to-day to meet and exceed their expectations.

James Selle named Director of Meeting & Event Management: James is an accomplished professional who has organized and run meetings and events across the country including multi-day festivals, golf outings, charitable fundraising galas and banquet dinners. He is a hospitality industry expert who successfully owned and managed his own restaurant and bar. His expertise is frequently sought by restaurants and other establishments on best practices, operations, budgeting, menus and attractions. He most recently managed one of the largest grossing restaurants in a prominent national hospitality group’s portfolio, overseeing an 800-seat, five

dining room restaurant and a 80 person staff. James is also an IT, logistics and operations expert. He is a combat veteran who served 12 years in the United States Air Force as an Electronic Warfare Craftsman. Prior to his service to our nation, James worked as an IT Specialist for CNN. James is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and Air University, the United States Air Force’s center for professional military education. James’ professional and life experience makes him an ideal choice to lead NorthStar’s Meeting & Event Management practice.

Scott Stephens named Director of Public & Community Outreach: Scott is a dedicated public servant with over a decade of experience in senior positions throughout New Jersey State government. Most recently, Scott served as Executive Director of Government and Community Relations for the New Jersey Department of Transportation where he was responsible for day-to-day management of the Department’s community outreach efforts. Scott coordinated public outreach strategies for some of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects in New Jersey history, including the I-295/I-76/Route 42 “Direct Connect” Interchange in Camden; Pulaski Skyway Rehabilitation; and the I-495 approach to the Lincoln Tunnel. Under Scott’s leadership, the Department secured project support and acceptance from host community stakeholders. Scott will coordinate Public & Community Outreach efforts for existing NorthStar clients and work to grow and expand this important practice area.
