NY WATERWAY ADDS MID-DAY FERRY BETWEEN HARBORSIDE IN JERSEY CITY AND BROOKFIELD PLACE/BATTERY PARK

 

To meet growing commuter demand, NY Waterway is restoring mid-day ferry service between Harborside in Jersey City and Brookfield Place/Battery Park City in Lower Manhattan, starting Monday, September 16.

            Ferries depart Harborside every 15 minutes during morning and evening rush hour and once every hour mid-day, with the first ferry leaving Harborside at 6:05 a.m. and the last ferry leaving Brookfield Place/Battery Park City at 7:02 p.m.  The Hudson River crossing takes just six minutes.  Service also is available on weekends.

            Harborside is served by NJ TRANSIT buses and the Hudson/Bergen Light Rail.  There also is low-cost parking at the entrance to the Atrium at Harborside, 210 Hudson Street.

            The ferry docks right at the Atrium at Harborside, an attractive venue with a several dining options.

            The fare is $7 one way, $6 on weekends.  The monthly fare is $238.50, less than $6 per trip.

            Rush hour and weekend ferry service also is available between Harborside and Manhattan’s West 39th Street Ferry Terminal.
