New E-Ticket Makes Family-Friendly Way to Enjoy NYC

Even Easier – and Kids Ride Free

NY Waterway ferries offer the fastest, easiest and only traffic-free way to rock around the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Wednesday, December 4.  Ferries cross the Hudson River in just eight minutes while you relax in climate-controlled cabins or enjoy the great view from the deck.

Visit nywaterway.com/treelighting for more information.

Kids under the age of 12 ride free on all NY Waterway ferries between New Jersey and Manhattan through New Year’s Day, January 1.  NY Waterway’s new E-Ticket for ferries between Port Imperial in Weehawken and the West 39th Street Midtown Terminal in Manhattan makes using the ferry even easier.

Ferries from Weehawken, Hoboken, and Jersey City offer frequent service seven days a week to the West 39th Street Midtown Ferry Terminal.  Weekday service from Edgewater and from Belford/Middletown also are available.

Return ferry service from West 39th Street to Port Imperial in Weehawken runs late, with the last ferry departing Manhattan at 12:10 a.m.

Free NY Waterway connecting shuttles are waiting at the Midtown West 39th Street Ferry Terminal to take passengers on several routes serving Midtown and Downtown Manhattan, including to and from Rockefeller Center, Macy’s, Times Square and other attractions.  For your return trip, download the free NY Waterway App from your mobile app store or at nywaterway.com/app to locate your closest shuttle back to the ferry terminal in real time.

Port Imperial and other New Jersey terminals offer inexpensive parking (some free) and are served by the Hudson/Bergen Light Rail, NJ TRANSIT buses and local free NY Waterway buses. Reduced weekend adult ferry fares are also available.
