Old Bridge Democrats Behind Zeeshan Siddiqi for Ward 2 Council Seat

The Old Bridge Democratic Township County Committee has begun its drive to elect Zeeshan Siddiqi to the Ward 2 Council Seat this November.

Mr. Siddiqi graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science (2001), with a minor in Business Administration, and is also a graduate of Old Bridge High School. He is a managing partner of a top information technology consulting firm working for the U.S Department of Defense as an Architect for the U.S. Army. He has resided in Old Bridge for more than 29 years with his wife and three children.

Mr. Siddiqi advocates for expanding services that have recently been cut by the current administration, concentrating on economic development by filling empty stores, and pushing for tax cuts that are crippling our middle class.

He wants to improve the effectiveness of town services so that support for our more vulnerable populations can be better addressed, and to achieve this, he feels that we need to listen to our marginalized communities so that the current climate of divisiveness, anger, and fear in the country can be eradicated. He believes that support for the Law Enforcement Community is essential to ensure the safety and security of the residents in Ward 2.

With his technology background, he understands that our internet connections are only as strong as the weakest link. He believes that with Altice/Optimum, we do not have a dedicated speed because the bandwidth is being shared with neighbors, and with the increased communication demands inherent with the Covid-19 epidemic, that if elected, he will see that there is fair pricing between the ISP’s and that they upgrade their infrastructure and systems in Old Bridge.
