Oroho, Space & Wirths Welcome Attorney General’s Investigation Into Tragedy at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center
Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths (all R-Sussex, Warren, Morris) issued the following statement expressing their full support in getting the State Attorney General’s Office involved in investigating the tragic loss of so many lives since March 31 at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center:
“The massive loss of life at Andover Subacute is nothing less than tragic, and the families of those who perished deserve answers about how their loved ones were cared for – or worse yet not cared for – during the current crisis.
“Additionally, the remaining residents of the facility and their families need to know that everything possible is being done to keep residents safe, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, and to appropriately care for those who are sick.
“Nursing homes and long-term care facilities, like Andover Subacute, are caring for some of the most vulnerable in our society, and family members deserve the security in knowing that their loved ones are protected when they enter these facilities’ doors.”
