O’Scanlon Commends Hiring of Public Health Services Deputy Commissioner

Senator Declan O’Scanlon (R-Monmouth) commended the hiring of Dr. David Adinaro as Deputy Commissioner of Public Health Services in the New Jersey Department of Health. The position is one of many within the Department that have been vacant for an extended period of time.

“NJDOH finally filling the statutorily required position of Deputy Commissioner of Public Health Services is welcome news. This is an extremely important position that should have been filled over a year ago. This is a role that requires laser focus and total attention to complex problems, particularly in the midst of a pandemic.

“The hiring of Dr. Adinaro looks to be an excellent choice and is very promising. This looks to be the Department finally taking a big step in the right direction. His qualifications are superb and his history of dedication to New Jersey is truly commendable.

“I hope the Department moves fast and continues to fill vacant positions with other highly qualified individuals such as Dr. Adinaro. I hope the doctor moves fast to make many needed changes within the Department. Stakeholder engagement is imperative to success and I hope the Department begins to have a healthy and open line of communication with our EMS and local public health communities.”
