Our Revolution Trenton Mercer Endorses Dan Weiss, Stacey Fox, Ben Finkelstein for West Windsor Town Council

TRENTON —  Our Revolution Trenton Mercer (ORTM) endorsed the Dan Weiss, Stacey Fox, Ben Finkelstein slate for West Windsor Town Council ahead of the November 7th General Election.

Accepting the endorsement, the West Windsor candidates said: “We, Your New Town Council, are honored to receive the endorsement of Our Revolution Trenton Mercer! We are grateful to have grassroots activism assist us in sharing our message of change for West Windsor. We prioritize transparency in government: residents need their government to work to improve the safety of the community with forward, mindful planning that preserves the quality of life.”

Weiss serves as the Secretary of the West Windsor Municipal Democratic Committee, Committee delegate of West Windsor District 5, and President of the West Windsor Democratic Club. Fox is the Founder and Executive Director of the Mercer County Defense League, a nonprofit corporation and 501c(3), which partnered with Skylands Preservation Alliance to create the environmentalist group Green Garden State Alliance. Finkelstein, a public school educator and community advocate, aims to expand the services provided by West Windsor including enhancement of public spaces to better provide for engagement and learning opportunities for all constituents.

ORTM Chapter Chair Brady Rivera said: “With a priority and focus on environmental innovation, fair and affordable housing, and fighting against the Bridge Point 8 Project, Dan, Stacey and Ben are focusing on both the long term and short term successes of West Windsor’s future. As progressives, we must be proactive in campaigns against over industrialization that ultimately prioritize private profits at the expense of the health of people and the environment.”

Priorities of the Your New Town Council slate include:

  • Preservation of West Windsor’s environment from overdevelopment

  • Public and transparent development plans that prioritize green infrastructure

  • Fighting against opaque and unaccountable eminent domain plans that displace residents

  • Bolstering flood mitigation infrastructure

  • Development and preservation of public spaces that promote community

  • Modernization of township communications and accessibility to engage residents

Fauzia Farooqui, ORTM Membership Co-Chair and Vice Chair of the West Windsor Democratic Committee said: “I am very excited about the fresh slate of town council candidates, Dan Weiss, Stacey Fox, and Ben Finkelstein in West Windsor. I like their vision of responsible development and environment-friendly policies for West Windsor. I am particularly appreciative of their commitment to transparency in governance, an area that surely needs improvement in West Windsor.”
