OUT MONTCLAIR AND THE WELLMONT THEATER ANNOUNCE FEATURED ARTIST FOR THE INAUGURAL MONTCLAIR PRIDE FESTIVAL CONCERT: BETTY WHO

 

BETTY WHO TO PERFORM AT “THE MONTCLAIR PRIDE CONCERT AT THE WELLMONT THEATER,” SATURDAY EVENING, JUNE 11, WITH SUPPORTING ARTIST FAB THE DUO

 

(Montclair, NJ – March 30, 2022) – Out Montclair, a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization established in 2021 to provide community, support, and solidarity for LGBTQIA+ people and host of the first-ever Montclair Pride festival in June 2022, along with the historic Wellmont Theater in downtown Montclair, today announce that Betty Who will be the featured musical artist to perform at the The Montclair Pride Concert at the Wellmont Theater, with Fab the Duo as supporting artists.

 

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10:00 AM via Ticketmaster and at The Wellmont Theater Website and Box Office.

 

Australian singer/songwriter Betty Who has had multiple #1s on Billboard charts including Hot 100 and Top Dance Club charts like her breakout hit “Somebody Loves You,” as well as “All of You,”and “All Things,” her cover of Netflix’s Queer Eye opening number.

 

Fab the Duo is an alt rock duo based in Los Angeles and boyfriends in real life living their motto “Be You, Be Proud, and Be Loud!” Broadway World noted they’ve performed at Pride festivals in Austin, Los Angeles and Burlington and “hope to change the way people see queer, interracial love in the music scene and beyond.”

 

The Wellmont Theater is one of eight Event Sponsors of Montclair Pride, a festival to represent and honor Montclair’s longstanding and widespread reputation as a welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people and our allies, families and neighbors.

The Wellmont Theater celebrates its 100th year in downtown Montclair. It began as a venue for vaudeville, stage plays, and movies and now hosts top acts and performances in its historic hall.

The Montclair Pride festival, hosted by Out Montclair, will raise awareness and strengthen ties in our community and among all LGBTQ+ people and allies in the region, as well as provide a celebration filled with art, culture, food, music and live performances to uplift LGBTQ+ people, issues and history. Montclair Pride will be held Saturday, June 11th, in downtown Montclair.
