PABON IS FOCUSED ON PERTH AMBOY FIRST AND NOT DRAMA

Perth Amboy, NJ –Mayoral Candidate and Former Council President Joel Pabon Sr. is leading the new decade with a renewed commitment to the City’s residents. While the current administration states it is moving forward given the current Coronavirus pandemic, Pabon feels differently.

“It’s time to move Perth Amboy in a positive direction,” Pabon said. “Unfortunately, the current administration is not doing enough for our residents. Over the past years our city has been going in the wrong direction and it is time for a Change in Leadership.”

As an avid trouble shooter, Pabon knows the issues and is committed to bringing common sense
solutions to our City.

“Our community has many quality of life issues, and my commitment to Perth Amboy has always been and will always be focused on Perth Amboy First,” Pabon stated. “Our residents deserve to know who will be looking out for them in the Mayor’s office when it comes to addressing the problems that plague our town. A mayor who can get the job done and not Mayoral Candidates who like to berate our beautiful City’s image with misleading facts, instead of talking about a plan to help our City Prosper.”

Pabon, a retired US Army First Sergeant and a retired Postal Service Manager with 34 years of service—of which 22 years was served in management, is a seasoned and experienced manager and Army veteran who will help turn the city around.

“The first 100 days of being mayor is going to be critical because we can no longer afford a City administration neglecting the needs of the people,” said Councilman Pabon. “What residents don’t know is that our City is a strong Mayor and weak Council type of government where the buck stops at the Mayor’s desk—not anywhere else. You have candidates running for the Mayoral office who either don’t acknowledge our troubles, or exaggerate them. For other candidates to say that we have “bodies piling up” or “turbulence” in our City, is an injustice to the character of our town.

Political infighting is not “turbulence” and the “bodies piling up” comment is from left field. The drama needs to stop.”

Pabon is running for Mayor because the alternative mayoral options are not going to help Perth Amboy move in a positive direction: “I will always keep fighting for Perth Amboy,” Pabon said.

“How can you expect the next mayor to lead our town if they don’t talk about their solutions, and only focus on mudslinging? The bottom line is: the other mayoral candidates can’t let go of the unproductive drama. Drama gets us nowhere. I’m focused on the residents first, and that is why I’m In It For YOU, Luchando Por Ti!”
