Pallotta Kicks Off Campaign to Energetic Crowd, Sussex County Freeholders Fantasia and Fasano Endorse Campaign

MAHWAH – Last Thursday, Republican Candidate for Congress Frank Pallotta, formally kicked-off his campaign for Congress to a robust crowd of over 100 supporters in the candidate’s hometown of Mahwah, NJ. The event took place on the anniversary of President Ronald Reagan’s birthday – the candidate’s political hero.

In his speech, Pallotta slammed incumbent Josh Gottheimer’s vote for the sham impeachment process against President Trump and for failing to deliver for the people of New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District:

“Josh has dubbed himself the leader of the “Problem Solvers’ Caucus”. But after three years in Washington, I have a question for the Congressman: How can you claim to be part of the solution, when you are part of the problem?” said Pallotta.

Pallotta also announced his plans to introduce the “Property Tax Relief Act” as his first bill in Congress. This proposal would allow overburdened New Jersey taxpayers – and taxpayers across the country – to deduct all of their property taxes using the 1040 EZ short form. To pay for this, Pallotta will zero in on cuts to corporate welfare.

Additionally, the candidate pledged to finally secure funds to build the Gateway Tunnel, lower health care costs, and fight for our veterans.

Speakers at the event included Sussex County Freeholders Anthony Fasano and Dawn Fantasia, who gave their full endorsements to Pallotta in recognition of the outreach he has done in Sussex County since the beginning of his campaign and Josh Gottheimer’s failed record in Washington:

“Murphy tried to tell our county Sheriff that he couldn’t cooperate with federal law enforcement to secure our borders and protect our communities… Frank Pallotta stepped up and helped our Republican Freeholder Board and helped the people get their vote.  He listens.  He wants to know.  He wants to help. That’s why I am proud to support him for Congress.” – Anthony Fasano, Sussex County Freeholder

“We gave Josh Gottheimer the benefit of the doubt. Then he sided with Nancy Pelosi on impeachment in a partisan attempt to derail a presidency that is delivering economic prosperity.” – Dawn Fantasia, Sussex County Freeholder

Other attendees included: Roger Lane, Wyckoff; Matt Conlon, West Milford, YR Republican State Committeeman; Assemblywoman Holly Schepesi; Alyssa Dawson, former Westwood Councilwoman; Tom Madigan, Wyckoff Councilman and former Wyckoff Mayor; Andie Pegen, West Milford Councilwoman; Concetto Formica, Franklin Councilman; Phil Crabb, Former Sussex County Freeholder; Lou Crescitelli, Ringwood, and Bill Hayden, Skylands Tea Party President

New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District is one of the 31 districts that voted for President Trump in 2016 with a Democratic representative in Congress. Pallotta was previously named “On the Radar” by the National Republican Congressional Committee.
