PAMELA THOMAS-FIELDS ENDORSES AMY KENNEDY FOR CONGRESS

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ— Pamela Thomas-Fields, Democratic candidate for Atlantic City mayor, has endorsed Amy Kennedy for Congress in the 2nd District. The endorsement was announced Saturday during a Facebook live broadcast, Community Connections: Tea at Two.

“Amy Kennedy is our hometown girl,” said Thomas-Fields. “Not only does she believe in South Jersey, but she is South Jersey, through and through. Her strong stance on mental health, her experience in education, and her first-hand knowledge of our economy are some of the most important points of her campaign. Amy Kennedy is the obvious choice for South Jersey.”

Thomas-Fields has previously shown her support for Kennedy by voting for her in both the Atlantic City Democratic Committee’s endorsement and again at the Atlantic County Democratic Convention in March.

The Facebook live broadcast, hosted by Thomas-Fields, featured eight politically active women, Democrats throughout Atlantic County, including Kennedy, who discussed current issues facing their communities. Topics included the importance of women in politics, vote-by-mail as it affects the Atlantic City change of government referendum, COVID-19, education, mental illness, and nutrition.

Thomas-Fields regularly hosts Facebook live broadcasts featuring community leaders and elected officials. Those interested can find replays and information on future events on the Facebook page “Pamela Thomas-Fields for Mayor” or the website Pamela4AC2020.com.
