Partner Ravi Bhalla Departs FPSF To Transition To Hoboken City Hall As Mayor

We would like to congratulate our Partner and friend Ravinder S. Bhalla who is leaving the firm Friday, December 29th to assume his full-time position as Mayor of the City of Hoboken, New Jersey on Monday, January 1st, 2018.

Ravi made history this past November becoming the first Sikh to be elected to a mayoral position in a municipality in the State of New Jersey. Ravi has been serving as a councilman-at-large of the one-square-mile-city since 2009. An Indian-American born and raised in New Jersey, Ravi was endorsed this past June by Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer who decided not to seek re-election to a third term.

“Leaving the firm is bittersweet as I will truly miss the partners, associates, staff members and clients who I have worked so closely with at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader over the past four years. I am so grateful to have been part of such a remarkable team,” said Ravi.

Bhalla.jpgAn experienced federal and state court litigator, Ravi focused his practice in the areas of local government law, employment law, complex civil litigation, and criminal defense law.

“The entire firm is proud of Ravi and all of his accomplishments as an exceptional attorney and as a public servant. We will greatly miss him and we know the City of Hoboken will benefit greatly from his leadership,” said Governor James Florio, co-founder and Partner of Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader.

Ravi Bhalla will be sworn in as Mayor of Hoboken on Monday, January 1st, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hoboken Junior Senior High School, located at 800 Clinton Street, Hoboken, NJ. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must reserve tickets at Hoboken.booktix.com as seating is limited.
