Pascrell Assails Kavanaugh Nomination to the Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) pilloried the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court to succeed Anthony Kennedy.

“Brett Kavanaugh is a Republican political operative. He cut his teeth writing the Starr Report. He has made a career of doing the bidding of the GOP to suppress voting rights, poison the environment, give corporations more rights than people, and take health care away from millions. Kavanaugh was selected to codify these nefarious goals into law. And as Donald Trump remains the subject of a sprawling criminal investigation, it is no accident he selected a career political foot soldier to a seat on the final court that will judge his subversions of democracy and unprecedented corruption. Brett Kavanaugh shouldn’t be a hundred miles from a Supreme Court seat. His nomination is a sign of the devolution of the Republican Party and should be rejected.”
