Pascrell Condemns Vindman Demotion

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today condemned Donald Trump’s removal of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council and from his White House post.

“In Donald Trump’s government, the only thing that matters is loyalty to Donald Trump,” said Rep. Pascrell. “Truth, courage, and love of our country are incompatible with serving under Donald Trump. Lt. Col. Vindman is a hero and a breathing realization of the American Dream. Donald Trump is a coward and a fraud. But a demotion from Donald Trump should be treated as a moral promotion. The son of immigrants, Lt. Col. Vindman served American liberty and won a Purple Heart for shedding blood on the battlefield. He is everything Donald Trump is not. This move by the White House is not simply spiteful, but un-American and in furtherance of the venal criminality of this impeached executive.”
