WASHINGTON, DC – Tonight, U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) reacted to the impending shutdown of the federal government by Donald Trump and congressional Republicans.

“This needless government shutdown is a Trump shutdown. Despite controlling all three branches of government, Republicans still are incapable of governing. Donald Trump is throwing a child’s temper tantrum and Republicans would prefer stroking his unhinged ego to running a country. This frightening chaos, landing on Americans’ doorsteps right before Christmas, is because Republicans won’t stand up to this man.
