Duo join litany of top Trump associates turned federal felons

PATERSON, NJ – Today, Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09) reacted to the convictions of former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and guilty pleas from former Trump personal lawyer and Republican National Committee deputy finance chairman Michael Cohen of multiple felonies in federal court this afternoon.

“In ‘The Art of the Deal’ Donald Trump wrote that ‘my philosophy has always been to hire the best from the best.’ Today’s new criminal convictions of high-ranking Trump figures, on top of the criminal convictions already in the books, and Michael Cohen’s admission that Donald Trump directed a criminal conspiracy, put a new gloss on Trump’s words. We’re in uncharted waters here. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Trumpty Dumpty together again.”
