Pascrell, Menendez to Announce Passage of Firefighter Cancer Registry Bill 

Landmark legislation to help firefighters who risk their lives, health every day to protect the public

ENGLEWOOD, NJ – TOMORROW, JULY 3 at 11:30AM, U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) and Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) will be joined by firefighters from across New Jersey to celebrate House and Senate passage of the Firefighter Cancer Registry Act (H.R. 931), legislation the federal lawmakers introduced to monitor and study the relationship between career-long exposure to dangerous fumes and toxins and the incidence of cancer in firefighters to determine if there is a link, and to develop better protective gear and prevention techniques.
