Pascrell Mourns the Passing of President George H.W. Bush

PATERSON, NJ – Today, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr (D-NJ-09) issued the following statement on the passing of former President George H.W. Bush:

“President George H.W. Bush was a patriot and a statesman. His record of service is nearly unparalleled: as an aviator in the Pacific Theater during World War II, a U.S. Representative, a UN Ambassador, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, the vice presidency, and finally the presidency. In each post, he was an embodiment of the straight-forth values that make America great. While a child of privilege, President Bush’s entire life was defined by the honesty and duty to county forged in the lives of some many in the Greatest Generation. Today, we lose another member of that generation. I mourn his life, reflect on his service, and offer my condolences to his family.”
