Pascrell, NJ Labor Commissioner to Tout Benefits of Increased Minimum Wage

PATERSON, NJ – MONDAY, JULY 1 at 10:00AM, as New Jersey’s minimum wage is set to officially increase to $10/hour, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) will join with Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development to highlight the benefits of raising the minimum wage to adjust for inflation. A fervent advocate for respecting the dignity of work, Rep. Pascrell has co-sponsored the Raise the Wage Act (H.R.582) and will thus advocate for the bill’s primary purpose: raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hour.
