Passaic County African American Clergy Endorse Chief Thomas Adamo and Commissioners Lazzara, De Vore, and Bartlett for Leadership and Community Engagement
Passaic County, NJ – A group of African American pastors and clergy from Passaic County today announced their endorsement of Chief Thomas Adamo for Sheriff, and Commissioners Cassandra “Sandi” Lazzara, Rodney De Vore, and John Bartlett, citing their commitment to
public safety, community involvement, and trusted leadership.
“Chief Thomas Adamo, alongside Commissioners Lazzara, De Vore, and Bartlett, are exactly the leaders our county needs at this critical time,” the clergy stated in a joint statement. They are
ready to work from day one to improve our infrastructure, make housing more affordable for our veterans and seniors, and enhance the overall safety of our community.”
Chief Adamo’s forward-looking and progressive approach to law enforcement, which includes building stronger relationships between police and community and employing modern policing strategies such as using technology to solve crimes and training officers in de-escalation
techniques and mental health awareness, was specifically highlighted.
“Chief Adamo’s vision for a safer and more engaged Passaic County aligns with our values of compassion, justice, and community partnership,” said one of the leading pastors. “His initiatives promise to significantly impact how law enforcement interacts with the community, ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.”
The clergy also praised Commissioners Lazzara, De Vore, and Bartlett for their proven track
records and ongoing efforts to address housing affordability and infrastructure improvements. “Commissioners Lazzara and Bartlett have continually demonstrated their dedication to our communities, and Rodney De Vore’s fresh perspectives will further strengthen this dynamic
team,” added another clergy member.
The endorsement from these community faith leaders underscores the widespread support for these candidates among residents who value safety, inclusivity, and responsive governance.
