PASSAIC COUNTY LAUNCES MOBILE TESTING SITES TO EXPAND OPTIONS FOR RESIDENTS

(Passaic County, New Jersey — June 9, 2020) – The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders will launch a mobile testing site operation starting, Wednesday, June 10^th at Passaic County Community College Wanaque Campus from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The mobile testing site will operate in conjunction with the county’s drive-thru testing site at William Paterson University and the county’s at-home testing program. Testing performed through both the mobile sites and the at-home program will be conducted by using a saliva test provided and administered by Vault Health.

“Our priority is to offer as many residents as we can the ability to be tested. Since the launch of our initial testing site in Wayne, we’ve tested over 15,000 residents and our at home testing program has already reached over 1,300 residents, mobile testing is another way we are making it as convenient as possible for residents to get tested, especially as many of them will be returning to work in the coming weeks,” said Passaic County Freeholder Director Sandi Lazzara.

The mobile testing operations will be conducted in various municipalities throughout the month of June. Residents will receive free testing, with proof of residency. Prescriptions and insurance are not required.  The initial mobile testing schedule is listed below, no appointment necessary*:

1) Passaic County Community College- Wanaque Campus – June 10, 2020; 9AM – 3PM

• • 500 Union Turnpike, Haskell, NJ

2) Sacred Heart Church, Clifton – June 12, 2020; 9AM – 3PM

• • 145 Randolph Avenue, Clifton

“We have been working closely with our local mayors to increase resources for our County residents. Amongst the many programs we’ve launched recently like our Emergency Food Distribution program and our At-Home Testing program, we’re proud to announce this additional resource of local testing for our residents,” added Director Lazzara.
