Passaic County Young Democrats elect 2022 Executive Board

The Passaic County Young Democrats elected their 2022 Executive Board, with Ahmet Akdag,
from Clifton, serving as President of the organization alongside a new slate of members. Ahmet
is also currently the Northern VP for the New Jersey Young Democrats and formerly the
Secretary of PCYD.

Elected alongside Ahmet on the 2022 Executive Board is:

Habib Rahman-Kader (Vice President), Paterson
Enise Koc (Secretary), Haledon
Tom Bushnauskus (Treasurer), Hawthorne

Additional appointed positions will also be filled in the coming weeks.

“Our goal this year onwards is not only to provide our support for the upcoming elections but
also to grow this organization to more completely reflect the diversity of our county. I believe
that with our talented and dedicated team, we will be able to achieve and surpass this goal,”
said President Ahmet Akdag. “We’re focused on engaging voters in the county, motivating
communities to register to vote, and providing a voice and motivation for young Democrats to
help Democratic candidates running for all levels of public office as well as guide a new
generation of future Democratic candidates”.

With the midterm election season in swing, Passaic County Young Democrats will especially be
focused on providing support and pitching in to campaigns in the county.

“We will strive to engage the diverse voters that make up Passaic County as well as empower
young Democrats in the county,” said Vice-President Habib Rahman-Kader. “With our newly
elected e-board, I am confident that our efforts will be successful through 2022 and onwards”.

The Passaic County Young Democrats are committed to the ideals and principles of the
Democratic Party, with the mission of electing Democratic candidates to public office,
encouraging young people to get involved in political and civic affairs, and promotion of justice,
equality, and diversity.
