PASSAIC DEMS: SPEZIALE LIED ABOUT DONATING TO CHARITY
SPEZIALE LIED ABOUT DONATING TO CHARITY
“What kind of person would lie about donating to charity and what else would he lie about?”
PASSAIC COUNTY– Former supporters of Passaic County Sheriff candidate Jerry Speziale, UFCW 464A President John T. Niccollai and Michael Coscia of Oak Electric Co., Inc. today called on County Sheriff candidate Jerry Speziale to follow through on his promise to give campaign contributions donated under false pretenses to charity. Speziale has been sitting on over $500,000 in campaign contributions from individuals who donated to his campaign for Passaic County Sheriff for almost 15 years.
Speziale took the money before accepting a job offer from Chris Christie and then lied to a reporter when he said he would donate the money: “For my sick wife-cancer UMDNJ, the needy children, baseball, soccer, kids, sports which I believe in, etc.”
Niccollai and Coscia were previously Speziale supporters and contributors.
“Jerry Speziale lied to all of us almost fifteen years ago when he asked for our support and then ran off to join Chris Christie and then he lied again when he said he would donate our campaign contributions to charity,” said Niccollai and Coscia. “Even if you support Christie and Speziale, you have to ask yourself, ‘what kind of person would lie about donating to charity and what else would he lie about?’ It’s appalling to think that any politician can take our money and lie for more than a decade with absolutely zero repercussion but I suppose nothing should surprise us in the age of Donald Trump.”
