PATERSON INVESTS $5.7M TO RENOVATE PARKS

City utilizes American Rescue Plan funds to support projects.

 

PATERSON, NJ – On Friday, July 8, 2022, Mayor Andre Sayegh, joined by Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr., and Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly, will announce that the City of Paterson will renovate 15 parks throughout the City’s six wards utilizing funds from the American Rescue Plan. The parks include:

 

1st Ward

  • Commons Field – $1.5M (turf surface, fencing lights, bathrooms, & concessions)
  • Tyrone Collins Park – $50K (fence repair)
  • Cobbs Park – $150K (fence replacement & playground landing pad)
  • Buckley Park – $150K (splash pad)

 

2nd Ward

  • Westside Park – $100K (Westside Park rehabilitation)
  • Westside Park – $1.6M (Totowa Oval field and lights)

 

3rd Ward

  • Eastside Park – $100K (master plan)
  • Eastside Park – $200K (Frank Lautenburg Playground)
  • Riverside Vets Pool – $100K (new filtration system & lifeguard stands)
  • Bear Track / Anthony Lucas Park – $150K (general park improvements)

 

4th Ward

  • Barbour Park – $150K (playground landing pad, benches, bleachers for stage)

 

5th Ward

  • Roberto Clemente Park – $200K (fence replacement)
  • Lou Costello Pool – $250K (new motor for filter, lifeguard stands, fencing)

 

6th Ward

  • Alabama Ave /Trenton Ave – $250K (dog park fencing, landscaping, surfacing)

  • Trenton Ave /23rd Ave – $750K (playground)
