Patriotic Millionaires Endorse First Candidates of 2024
“These candidates are resolutely committed to building a better, more equitable economy, unrigging the tax code, raising wages, and defending democracy.”

Washington, DC – Today, the Patriotic Millionaires announced their first endorsements of the 2024 cycle, with nine candidates for the United States House of Representatives earning the group’s support. The organization limited its criteria to non-incumbent tax and wage champions running in competitive districts.
The nine challengers that the Patriotic Millionaires are endorsing in the 2024 election cycle are:
–             Sue Altman (NJ-07)
–             Ashley Ehasz (PA-01)
–             Cheyenne Hunt (CA-45)
–             Mondaire Jones (NY-17)
–             Sarah Klee Hood (NY-22)
–             Jamie McLeod-Skinner (OR-05)
–             Josh Riley (NY-19)
–             Will Rollins (CA-41)
–             Diane Young (MI-10)
These candidates are diverse in age, race, gender, and ethnicity and all come from unique personal and professional backgrounds. They include parents, teachers, civil servants, veterans, attorneys, small business owners, and even info-tainment social media influencers. These candidates are resolutely committed to building a better, more equitable economy, unrigging the tax code, raising wages, and defending democracy. The Patriotic Millionaires offer their enthusiastic support for their primary and general election campaigns.
Economic inequality has spiraled to levels not seen since the Gilded Age, corporate profits are shattering records while wages stagnate, and greedflation continues to erode workers’ purchasing power. The economic status quo is both dangerous and unsustainable. These candidates understand the magnitude of the problem and they support the right solutions to it.
Announcing these endorsements, Erica Payne, President and Founder of the Patriotic Millionaires, said,
“When the new Congress is sworn in next January, one of the first items on their agenda will be the expiration of the 2017 Trump tax cuts. This egregious giveaway provided a windfall to the wealthiest Americans and massive corporations; there is no doubt that the ultra-rich and their corporate co-conspirators will fight tooth and nail to see those benefits extended or made permanent. When the time comes, Congress must stand firm and ensure these tax cuts expire.
These nine candidates are fierce advocates for working people. In both word and deed, they have demonstrated their unwavering support for the financial interests of everyday Americans. We are eager to see them bring their tireless advocacy to Washington.”
Morris Pearl, the Chair of the Patriotic Millionaires and a former managing director at BlackRock, Inc., said,
“Wealthy Americans like me are running the show on Capitol Hill. There is a reason why public policy outcomes overwhelmingly favor the interests of the ultra-rich: namely, our money and the investments we make in campaigns and lobbying efforts. I have no problem donating to my preferred candidates and causes, but I do have a problem when elected officials pick up the phone when I call, but let thousands of their working constituents go to voicemail.
The Patriotic Millionaires’ new slate of endorsed candidates will help put an end to this circus. These outstanding public servants will work tirelessly to build an economy that works for everyone, not just the richest Americans. Wealthy donors and I simply have too much influence, and these candidates will begin to fix our profoundly broken system.”
