Newark, N.J. – On Friday, October 20, 2017, Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. will hold a Public Bank Proposal Forum with Ambassador Phil Murphy. This is a policy discussion on the benefits of a public bank for the state of New Jersey, and how it will drive investments into urban areas.
As a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business and the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, Congressman Payne is a staunch advocate of small business and continues to work to bring new businesses into the 10th Congressional District. As a current member of the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, he is dedicated to increasing infrastructure projects in New Jersey.
The purpose of this forum will be to bring awareness on how public banks will work in the State of New Jersey.
